Alana Steward crowned Olivet's 2014 Homecoming Queen

Alana Steward of Overland Park, Kansas, became the 60th Homecoming Queen for Olivet Nazarene University during the coronation ceremony on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Chosen by her peers for this honor, she is a senior and a leader among the student body. She is the daughter of David and Lois Steward.

At Olivet, Alana is majoring in accounting with a Spanish minor. She has been involved in varsity track and field, Enactus and intramural sports. She has served as a resident assistant in Williams Hall and the Oaks apartments, as an accounting tutor, and as a student manager in Ludwig Center.

Philip Caffee (Oak Lawn, Illinois), was Alana's escort. A senior and a Christian education major, he is the son of Philip and Debra Caffee.

Other members of the 2014 Homecoming Court, all seniors and also chosen by their peers, are: Haley Carroll (elementary education major, Mokena, Illinois), escorted by Caleb Burkey (elementary education major, Lima Ohio); Loren Crawford, (engineering major, Lima Ohio), escorted by Daniel Hegel (nursing major, Elgin, Illinois); Sarah Fox (music major, Visalia, California), escorted by Enos Hershberger (music performance major, Clare, Michigan); and Susan Morrill (music ministry major, Oak Lawn, Illinois), escorted by Kyle Zeman (exercise science major, Kenosha, Wisconsin).

Olivet's Homecoming Queen and members of her Court have been honored each year since 1955. The Queen is a senior woman chosen by the student body. She is a person of integrity; gives glory to God in her life; helps others feel loved and accepted; and expresses Olivet's academic, social, and spiritual ideals.
