Emily Mills of Milan, Illinois, crowned Olivet's 2016 Homecoming queen

Emily Mills of Milan, Illinois, became the 62nd Homecoming queen for Olivet Nazarene University during the coronation ceremony on October 26, 2016. Mills and the other members of the Homecoming court were selected by their peers.

Mills is a senior majoring in interior design with a minor in marketing. While at Olivet, she has served with Habitat for Humanity, choreographed the Ollies Follies variety show, and served in Thailand with the Missions in Action team. With the Student Unit of Family and Consumer Sciences (SUFACS), she has held the positions of secretary, vice president and is currently president. She is the daughter of Marty and Sheila Mills of Milan.

Seth Peachey of Galesburg, Illinois, was her escort. A senior majoring in management information systems, he is the son of Steven and Gail Peachey of Galesburg.

Olivet's Homecoming queen and members of her court have been honored each year since 1955. The queen is a senior woman chosen by the student body. She is a person of integrity; gives glory to God in her life; helps others feel loved and accepted; and expresses Olivet's academic, social, and spiritual ideals.
