Erin Doherty crowned Olivet's 2017 Homecoming Queen

Erin Doherty of Racine, Wisconsin, became the 63rd Homecoming Queen for Olivet Nazarene University during the coronation ceremony on October 25, 2017. She and the other members of the Homecoming Court were selected by their peers.

Doherty is a senior majoring in psychology with a minor in sociology. During her time at Olivet, she has been involved in Proclamation Gospel Choir and has held leadership positions in Youth For Christ high school tutoring, LifeSong and the Music Ambassador band. After graduation, she is excited to pursue a master's degree in counseling while serving full time in camp ministry. She is the daughter of Mike and Terry Doherty of Racine.

Cameron Walker of Fenton, Michigan, was Erin's escort. A senior majoring in political science with a minor in legal studies, he is the son of Darrin and Melony Walker of Fenton.

Olivet's Homecoming Queen and members of her court have been honored each year since 1955. The Queen is a senior woman chosen by the student body. She is a person of integrity; gives glory to God in her life; helps others feel loved and accepted; and expresses Olivet's academic, social, and spiritual ideals.
