Hilary Lochner of Upland, Indiana, inducted into Olivet's Hall of Fame

Olivet Nazarene University's Department of Athletics inducted alumna Hilary (Disch) Lochner of Upland, Indiana, into the Athletics Hall of Fame during the 2014 Homecoming and Family Weekend festivities, Friday, October 31, 2014. She was honored for her achievements as a Tiger women's basketball player.

Lochner, a Tiger women's basketball player from 2004 to 2008, holds the all-time program scoring record with 1,875 points while averaging just 18 minutes of play per game. She is also ranked first in program history in steals with 398 and seventh in assists with 401. She helped ONU lead the nation in scoring all four seasons and captured two CCAC regular season titles and a tournament championship. She was the CCAC Freshman of the Year in 2005, the CCAC Most Valuable Player in 2008, a four-time CCAC All-Conference honoree and an NCCAA First Team All-American in 2008.

She is married to Jeremy Lochner, an Olivet football alumnus. The couple has a daughter, Charlee Mae, and is expecting their second child in 2015. The couple resides in Upland, Indiana, and she is a first grade teacher at Marion Community Schools.

This year's honorees also include: Lauren (Chessum) McLain, softball; Michelle (McFadden) Schneider, volleyball; Ben Zobrist, baseball; and Coach Ralph Hodge, men's basketball. An additional honor for Zobrist is the retiring of his Tiger number 12 and baseball jersey.

"Recognizing these outstanding representatives of Tiger athletics is one of the highlights of every year at Olivet," said Gary Newsome, director of athletics. "Lauren, Hilary, Michelle, Ben and Coach Hodge continue to uphold our standards of excellence in their careers and post-college activities."
