Homer Glen resident Amanda Price honored in Who's Who Among Students for 2014

Amanda Price of Homer Glen has received national recognition as an outstanding campus leader for 2014 by the Who's Who Among Students in American Universities & CollegesA? program. She is the daughter of William and Denise Price.

Price is one of a select group of 57 seniors from Olivet Nazarene University to accept this prestigious award. More than 2,842 schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia participated in nominating their students for this honor.

A actuarial science major, Price received this honor for her achievements while at Olivet, including: dean’s list; secretary of Investment Club; Math Club; swim lesson coordinator; Omega theatre ministry team; volunteer treasurer for young adult ministry; Sister-to-Sister mentor; served on Hurricane Sandy disaster relief mission trip to New Jersey.

Olivet Nazarene University's campus nominating committee a?" made up of representatives from the faculty, administration and student body a?" selected and nominated her for this award. Criteria for this selection included grade point average, participation and leadership in school activities, community involvement and leadership ability.
