2017 Dec 18

Marcus Wollak of Olivet Nazarene University is the first player in the history of Tiger men's soccer to earn CoSIDA's academic first team designation.

Wollak, a junior Wisconsin major from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, has earned 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Men's Soccer First Team College Division honors.

A six-foot midfielder, Wollak was one of only 11 student-athletes from across the nation to be named to this year's First Team College Division. He is one of only four to have a cumulative GPA of 4.00.

Wollak started 20 of 21 games in 2017. He scored five goals, had three assists and 13 total points. He finished with 36 shots and 19 shots on goal.

The first and second teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. The awards are voted on by current dues-paying group and individual members of CoSIDA.

The CoSIDA Academic All-America College Division soccer teams are comprised of student-athletes from NAIA, Canadian and two-year institutions.
