Waterville resident Michelle Towle honored in Who's Who Among Students for 2014

Michelle Towle of Waterville has received national recognition as an outstanding campus leader for 2014 by the Who's Who Among Students in American Universities & CollegesA? program. She is the daughter of Brian and Carol Towle.

Towle is one of a select group of 57 seniors from Olivet Nazarene University to accept this prestigious award. More than 2,842 schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia participated in nominating their students for this honor.

A nursing major, Towle received this honor for her achievements while at Olivet, including: Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society; secretary of Nursing Student Association; Orpheus Choir; Heart for Missions; served on mission trip to Kenya; intramural sports participant; member of Academic Standards Committee; Supplemental Course Instruction leader; vocalist for LifeSong ministry team, Parlor, Party with Jesus, and College Church of the Nazarene, North Campus, Bourbonnais, Ill..

Olivet Nazarene University's campus nominating committee a?" made up of representatives from the faculty, administration and student body a?" selected and nominated her for this award. Criteria for this selection included grade point average, participation and leadership in school activities, community involvement and leadership ability.
