Wheaton Resident Meghan Pipal Honored in Who's Who Among Students for 2013

Meghan Pipal of Wheaton has received national recognition as an outstanding campus leader for 2013 by the Who's Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges® program. She is the daughter of Dwayne and Karen Pipal.

Pipal is one of a select group of 53 seniors from Olivet Nazarene University to accept this prestigious award. More than 2,842 schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia participated in nominating their students for this honor.

A elementary education major, Pipal received this honor for her achievements while at Olivet, including: athlete on Olivet Tigers women's soccer team that was runner-up in 2012 NAIA National Tournament; CCAC All-Conference First Team, NAIA Scholar-Athlete (2011 and 2012); NCCAA Scholar Athlete (2011); 2012 College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA) Capital One Academic All-American Third Team honoree for her performance in the classroom as well as on the field; NAIA All-American honorable mention honoree; selected as a First Team All-CCAC member as well as a NCCAA North Central Region Player of the Year; co-leader of Best Buddies.

Olivet Nazarene University's campus nominating committee - made up of representatives from the faculty, administration and student body - selected and nominated [him/her] for this award. Criteria for this selection included grade point average, participation and leadership in school activities, community involvement and leadership ability.

For more than 76 years, Who's Who Among Students has annually honored outstanding student leaders from institutions of higher learning across the country. It is one of the most highly regarded and long-standing honors programs, respected by college faculties and administrations.
