Erinn Proehl steps into director position at Olivet Nazarene University
Bourbonnais, IL (07/10/2017) — Olivet Nazarene University announces the appointment of Erinn Proehl as the director of alumni and university relations, effective immediately. He is responsible for leading strategy, operations and vision, as well as working with the administration and the alumni association leadership.
"Erinn Proehl is a gifted young administrator," said Dr. John C. Bowling, University president. "His leadership gifts and mission commitment make him well suited to serve as director of alumni and university relations. Erinn is highly regarded on campus and among our wider constituency. I am very pleased that he is willing to serve his alma mater in this important role."
Proehl previously served as both associate director and acting director of alumni and university relations at Olivet. An Olivet graduate with a bachelor's degree in business administration, he began working for the University as an admissions ambassador and later became an admissions counselor in the Office of Admissions. His familiarity with the University, its constituents and the local community will serve him well as he takes on these new responsibilities.
"I am very pleased about this promotion for Erinn," said Dan Taylor, president-elect of Olivet's alumni association. "He has demonstrated that he is well-equipped for this position, with wisdom beyond his years along with excellent leadership acumen. Olivet's Office of Alumni and University Relations is in great hands."
In addition to his work with alumni, Proehl is also a seasoned mission trip leader and has led 12 Missions In Action trips for Olivet. He recently led his fourth trip to Honduras, where he taught job and business skills to teenagers at The Garden of Love and Hope - an orphanage sponsored by Footsteps Missions - and mentored a team of Olivet students.
"I am thrilled with this new assignment," Proehl said. "I see it as my duty to maintain and enhance a highly engaged, vibrant community of alumni and friends around the world. With each day and every task in our work at Olivet, we have an opportunity to glorify God and impact lives for Him. I am humbled by this great opportunity to serve."
