Pence-Boyce grants are sponsored by Olivet alumni who wish to honor two outstanding former faculty members who exemplify integrity, dedication and spirit in pursuit of academic excellence.

Olivet congratulates all students named to the dean's list during the spring 2015 semester. To qualify for inclusion on the dean's list, a student must have been enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student and must have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 grading scale.

The Sylvanus Carter Homiletics Award was established by Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Carter in honor of Stephen's father, Rev. Sylvanus Carter. Three finalists are chosen to receive scholarships, and one of those is designated as recipient of the award.

Three Olivet students are chosen to receive the 2014 Elbert Pence and Fanny Boyce Undergraduate Summer Research Experience Grant, funded by alumni and friends of Olivet. Students are paired with faculty members in order to conduct research projects. At the end of 10 weeks, students are required to write a paper, present what they discovered, and create a poster which will be displayed during Homecoming week in fall 2014.
